On Monday night we went to Applebees for dinner, we hadn't been before so didn't know what to expect. It was really busy and was half bar half restaurant. We were shown to a table which was a huge round table with tall bar stools - for a short person like me this was a nightmare so I asked if we could sit at a "normal" table much to the horror of my son!
The meal was lovely but yet again way too much food - such a waste (no photo's as the battery was out on the we camera).
Tuesday 30th June
Get up early (7am) to get ready to go to go to Universal Studios. get there just as it is opening so no queues - it's great. go straight on everything apart for the Mummy which had a 15min wait so not too bad. By this time the black cloud had started to gather and while the boys were on the Mummy ride it started pouring with rain, thunder, lightning etc - welcome to Florida in the summer!! I managed to get some cover and sat beside a lady who started talking to me in Spanish - I wish I had kept up the Spanish classes as I hadn't a clue what she was saying! We are going to see Cirque de Soliel tonight and I'm really looking forward to it, just hope it stops raining!
Jaws ride, you get a wet bottom on this one!!
The cinesheres which light up at night, movies are projected onto them along with a fireworks show, very clever.
Disaster ride - still to do this one.The Mummy Ride - another ride I avoid, I have only been on it once and screamed the place down!!
