Florida vacation

We made it here safely, although I now remember why I didn't want to "flyglobespan". Our flight was changed from leaving at 9.30am to 4.30pm then we were delayed for an hour! The flight takes 8.30 hours so it was 11pm local time when we got here - not what we wanted!

The flight was pretty awful, cabin crew just going through the motions, we prebooked our meal and our didn't come, they said they would bring it when they had finished serving what they had on the trolley. Everyone else had finished and they started dishing out coffee so I pressed the call button, waited about 5mins before I got a response, asked where our meal was, he said he would check waited again then he eventually brought it and said "just be careful it's hot I had to put it back in the oven", it was chicken so if I get food poisoning from re-heated food I'll know where I got it. The food was awful and we only got half a tiny cup of coffee. There was only this tiny meal offered on the whole flight (8.5 hours). They didn't offer water and to buy one of these tiny can's of juice or tea/coffee etc cost £2, 2 tiny bit's of shortbread cost £1 - what a joke!

The flight was really noisy and I could get the sound to work on my seat, not that i would have been able to see the movie, there was only one screen at the front and I couldn't see over the headrests, I had expected there to be drop down screens at intervals like there is on other flights.

Then when we arrived we discovered we hadn't been told (by Globespan) which car hire company we had to go to, so we stood in a massive queue (line) to discover it wasn't the correct company....second time we got lucky, we eventually got to our villa at 12 midnight, very hungry and very, very tired!

The villa is beautiful and there is a palm tree outside which is covered in huge orange butterflies, if I feel brave I'll venture out of the covered area onto the grass and get some photo's, might need to buy some trainers first as I only brought Crocs and I'm a bit worried about the bugs (or worse snakes) getting through the holes!

Right off to do some shopping and check out the area. I'll post some photo's some photo's soon.

PS Fraser I hope you are reading this Love MUM XX
